Hawaiian tropic tanning oil..?

the one in the dark bottle. i just bought it today, and im going to try it out tomorrow. has anyone used this product and gotten good results? im light, not that light though..but i NEVER get tans for some reason. do you think this stuff will work for me? because i really want a tan!
Hawaiian tropic tanning oil..?
I use the same kind! and i also use the bananna boat dark tanning oil. Yeah I think it would work. Make sure you scrub, shave, and exfoliate your skin before you tan!!! You'll tan on a new layer of skin, instead of old(?) skin? Idk how to put that into words... But ANYWAYS, when I tan, I usually tan for like 2hours. That's only because Im a tan-a-holic. I guess you can sit out for like an hour a day for Idk maybe like 4 days? and then you'll prob get some color
Hawaiian tropic tanning oil..?
yup im the same way and i can say that it does work for me... i hope it works for you
Reply:well you can not get tan from one bottle it has to be your skintry sunless tanning maybe?
Reply:oh! ive used the oil one.. nd i got tan immediately.. it leave a very nice golden tan and it gives u a nice pink tan on the nose cheeks and shoulders!... u should try it instead of the lotion... itll last longer!
Reply:Well I have used Hawiian Tropic tanning lotion for years...however, I have an olive skin complexion. It works better for those who already have a base tan, and arent likely to burn. The oil in Hawiian Tropic is used to mosturize the skin and reflect sun rays (it creates a shine on your skin which will attract sun). This could severely burn you if you have light skin. I would recommend getting the hawian tropic with suncreen 8-15 in it or try bananna boat dark tanning mist with sunscreen 8-15. This will give you a better tan considering you skin color and will less likely burn you. Also, Neutrogena has a new sunscreen out that has fake tanner in it, and it works very well..so this way you can get a natural sun tan and also build color with the fake stuff! Sunless tanners are awesome too, have you ever thought of just using one of those? Hope this helps...Happy Tanning!
Reply:well to be honest the oil is better with potato chips but the lotion goes nice with hot dogs...???

Does sunless tanning lotion actually provide you with a tan that protects the skin?

Does the tan protect against UV light?
Does sunless tanning lotion actually provide you with a tan that protects the skin?
No. I think you are confused because people say "A sunless tan is a safe tan". They mean that your skin is safe because it doesn't catch any UV light during the process. Unless the sunless tanning lotion says sunscreen, sunblock, or SPF on it, it will not protect you from the sun's harmful rays.
Does sunless tanning lotion actually provide you with a tan that protects the skin?
No. Neither fake or real tans protect you from UVA or UVB rays.

Can you tan and do mystic tanning at the same time?

would like a deeper darker faster tan!
Can you tan and do mystic tanning at the same time?
Sure ya can! Tanning (either natural or fake-baking) causes the skin to produce melanin, the pigment that naturally darkens our skin during exposure to UV rays. "Mystic Tan" is simply a superficial, temporary dye.

Is self tanning lotion healthy or not?

I started using it to get tan before beach season, but I wonder if it's healthy to get tan without the sun, or if there is anything negative to it.
Is self tanning lotion healthy or not?
Sunless tanners work by activating the melanin in your skin without exposing your body to the sun's UVA and UVB rays (getting a tan is your body's defense against the sun). Therefore, a sunless tan is actually better for your skin than going out into the sun.
Is self tanning lotion healthy or not?
well it depends on what type it is or if its a strong one, make sure u have the correct skin type becasue if its too strong, it will burn your skin. but if you tan in a tanning booth, thats not healthy for your skin at ALL. tanning lotion is okay as long as u stay out of the sun as much as u would. natural tanning out on the deck in your backyard on a summer day is the healthiest way you can go. just make sure you have SPF 15 on or what ever SPF # you prefer.

thanks! hope i helped!

Reply:no i do not see anything wrong but here is some help for you www.BeautyExpert.co.uk
Reply:it is better then going to a salon and getting a tan I don't see anything wrong with it
Reply:only cheap ones
Reply:it's better than tanning in the sun..........................

Hope I could help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Most tanning lotions these days are full of balms, butters and vitamins to keep you healthy and feeling great!

Just remember that if your out in the sun, ALWAYS wear sunblock.

Burning/tanning causes skin problems in the future. That's NOT what you need!!!!
Reply:its perfectly ok
Reply:YES, its better than getting a tan with the sun. You can get skin cancer if you just lay outside all day, and not to mention bad sunburns. I use tanning lotions, because I don't want to get skin cancer. Also, because I never get a tan, just a sunburn :(
Reply:Tanning lotions have come so far. They are full of better things for you - and are hands down so much better then the sun.

Although it's healthy to get some fresh air and sun it is not healthy what so ever to expose yourself to tanning.

Trust me I was the queen of a tan/burn and was a regular at a tanning salon!

Use the better named brands - Nutrugena Arbonne -

and you are in good hands.
Reply:its cheap crap
Reply:well alot of things are bad for you these days. I say avoid everything you dont need.

But a fake tan is much healthier than getting a real tan from the sun, because the suns ulta-violet rays can increase the risk of cancer.

so my advice is use fake tan and DONT go in the sun without alot of suncream... you will face the consequences like i did.
Reply:I tried it and don't like it...You have to wash your hands real good after...Or they will look like you were eating Cheetos all day. Also, if you don't do it perfectly you will have streaks.....It washes off soon as you shower....So it very temporary.....I threw it away after I used it once. Didn't like it.....Sun is best, or even a tanning booth. But it is not unhealthy......Just un-sightly if not done perfect.....

Reply:Some tips aside any lotion, take beta carotene pills (natural vitamin A) the day before and the morning of every day you are going to tan. Plus coffee or some caffeinated soda. And finnally St. John Worth's pills cause they make your skin more light sensitive. If you are knew to it or had some time off, take one adult aspirin to prevent your skin blood vessels to dilate and make you red and sore (especially if go naked).

Question about tanning?

I have a huge farmers tan, and i was wondering if there was a way to tan without laying out in the sun or using something bought from the store. Anything you can make at home?
Question about tanning?
No, just buy the spray on stuff.
Question about tanning?
I wouldnt think so....you can go get a spray on tan!!!
Reply:nah i dunno get a spray tan
Reply:Sunless tanning lotion allows you to have a bronze glow without exposing yourself to too much sun or tanning beds.

There are plenty of brands from which to choose, but you should be sure to pick one with moisturizers so your "tan" looks natural and not streaky.

If you get a product that contains some moisturizers and if you put it on properly -- exfoliating first, moisturizing well -- you're going to get a nice, even tan.
Reply:If you don't want to use products, there are some tanning lights that be purchased so you can simulate sun rays, at home.

What is the best tanning booth lotion for fair skin?

I have a cruise to go on in Jan and was advised to get a tan so that I dont burn. BUT I dont know what kind of lotion to use in the booth! I am afraid of the "Dark tan" lotions... just want some protection, not a really dark tan. Thanks
What is the best tanning booth lotion for fair skin?
First of all, the tan that sunless tanning lotion gives you is basically a dye on your skin, therefore it does not provide any protection from the sun.

A base tan before your trip will provide you a natural protection from the sun that some say is equal to about an SPF 4. You will still need to wear sunscreen while you are away because the sun is more intense the farther south you go.

I would suggest a basic accelerator lotion from the salon where you will be tanning. The salon should be able to advise you on a basic lotion and I suggest one without a bronzer if you don't want to be dark. Professional salon staff are trained so they can help you choose a lotion. Have fun on your cruise!
What is the best tanning booth lotion for fair skin?
You should try first using the tanning lotion you can get at wal-mart. The Loreal and jerkins. After your skin has reaches a certain level or tanness, then i recoment going to a tanning salon and asking them based on ur skin color anbd typ what they recomend!
